Clinic Appointments

How are clinics held?

KP Nutrition offers online virtual consultations to adults in the UK & Worldwide, allowing you to have your appointment in the comfort of your own home. Appointments can be held either via video or telephone. We offer a variety of  clinic timings including day time, evenings and occasional weekends.

Our appointments are run through an online portal called Practice Better - this allows us to be GDPR compliant, store all information confidentially in one place, as well as communicate through a messenger function and host video appointments. Practice Better can be accessed through a web browser or by downloading the app.

What can I expect before, during & after a clinic appointment?
 
Prior to your initial appointment you will be asked to complete several questionnaires, detailing your history (such as medical history, symptoms and medications), which will be discussed in detail at your appointment. 

 

Taking into account your history and dietary & lifestyle preferences, we will work together to form a realistic & bespoke plan to help you achieve your goals and discuss any questions you may have. Care, compassion and evidence based advice is at the forefront of our practice. 

After your appointment(s), your dietitian will:

  • Share comprehensive notes including a summary of what has been discussed & the plan you agreed together ​

  • Share relevant resources in the form or diet sheets, booklets and/or website links

  • Recommend investigations that may need to be completed (either to rule out or confirm a diagnosis)

  • Liaise with your GP and / or Consultant - with your consent

  • For an additional fee, we offer email support between appointments which can help you keep on track with your goals or ask any questions that crop up

Can I use my health insurance?
KP Nutrition is registered as a service provider with Aviva, AXA*, BUPA, Circa, Healix, Vitality* and WPA insurance companies - if you wish to use your insurance cover, please ensure a pre-authorisation code is given prior to booking an appointment. 
*Due to poor fee payment, appointments covered by these companies are limited to 30 minutes but additional time can be booked through self-payment.
