Which dietitian should I chose?
Both Katie & Katherine, have significant experience with supporting patients requiring dietetic input for gastrointestinal conditions, including irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, liver disease, pancreatic conditions and more. Katherine also has experience with complex surgical conditions, including post GI surgery, managing high output stomas and managing complications post bariatric surgery.
They both have excellent communication skills and are well respected amongst their dietetic colleagues and across the multidisciplinary team (MDT), with whom they work with on a daily basis in the NHS & private practice. This includes Gastroenterology & Colorectal Consultants, junior doctors, nursing staff and pelvic health physiotherapists. Being so integrated within the MDT gives Katie & Katherine the experience and skills to provide a holistic approach to their dietetic care.
'Katie has been amazing helping me with my IBS diagnosis as well as all my other food allergies. She explained all about the Low FODMAP diet and took it step by step with me. I originally left the doctors with a diagnosis and a few suggestions, which made me feel lost and alone trying to work out my food triggers. I can’t thank Katie enough for helping me with everything and keeping in touch, as well as answering my questions, months after our last appointment. Super lovely and super reasonably priced. Her help has completely changed my life. I would recommend her service to anyone. Thank you again Katie.'
'Katie is absolutely fantastic at what she does and I cannot express how grateful I am for being recommended to speak with her regarding my bowel problems. I finally have a diagnosis after years of battling with GP’s and that’s all thanks to Katie. She really has changed my life! I strongly recommend anyone getting in touch with Katie, you will not be disappointed.'
'Would highly recommend Katie. I was referred to her by a consultant specialist and she has really helped me with various issues. Particularly liked her evidence based approach, she clearly keeps up to date with current research and can always explain why a particular solution would work, as well as offering alternatives to fit individual circumstances. Communication was always great.'
Why choose a dietitian over another nutrition professional?
'Dietitians are the only qualified health professionals that assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems at an individual and wider public-health level.
Dietitians are the only nutrition professionals to be regulated by law, and are governed by an ethical code to ensure that they always work to the highest standard.'
